We lost our sweet Goldie after a breif illness in April 2024. Her impact to our herd has been tremendous! We will miss her gentle leanins for scratches followed by a sneaky belch. She is just not replaceable. In all the years breeding her and her daughters & sons we have not had any that could out match her on the stand. She really was our perfect goat.

Goldie is gold with a broken belt & has the loveliest golden eyes. She might have moonspots. When we clipped her in June 2021, we discovered small freckle sized brown spots in her gold coat. She does have a son with moonspots. We assumed he got them from his sire. Her daughter, Niamh also has moonspots. We can't speak highly enough about this goat; she is friendly, QUIET and great on the milk stand. Day in and day out Goldie is our most consistent and usually our top milk producer. Only Laia seems to be able to match her in our herd. She doesn't have any fancy awards, but we can count on her for our yogurt, cheese and soaps. Goldie was the first goat we tested for ALPHA-s1 CASEIN. She is A/A, which just confirms what we already knew. Her milk fat content is high. Goldie was shown as a youngster and has 1 Grand win. One of Goldie's daughters has a Reserve win, so her offspring can be shown successfully.

We are very satisfied with Goldie's Linear Scores. She is an older doe who has had quite a few kids, and it shows, think petting zoo condition. She received an E in Body Capacity & a V in Udder. The appraiser, who is particular on udders, really liked her and loved her udder! She is very easy to hand milk. Goldie's son Jacobim is sire to Kastor & Lola. We are very happy with how Kastor & Lola have matured. So, as we can't afforded to clone Goldie, we have retained another of her boys instead, Rumpelstiltskin. Goldie does have an PTI Index, but she has never been on test. Primrose is a Chamoisee-Buckskin, just like her mama. We are so excited about her. We sold her two older full sisters and regretted it. She is just beautiful, despite her tiny horn. Can't wait to see what this little leggy girl can do. She is our herd’s official greeter. Prim never misses out on free scratches. She freshened in 2023 with twin boys. She managed to kid on her own without any human help. Well, we did help dry them off. She didn’t skip a beat when they were born, unlike her dam who bolted into the stall wall when presented with her 1st newborn. Her first udder is just as expected. All of Little's girls have the cutest little udder at FF.

Prim was at a very awkward stage in her development when presented at LA's. It is reflected in her score. Appraiser noted that she has lots of good bits, but she is still immature. Her dam was slow to mature, so not overly concerned. Prims dam just received FS88 (VEEG) at age five.

Mara is a lovely Brown Roan Chamoisee with minimal White & Blue Eyes. Mara is a very nicely bred goat. Lots of good Linear Scores & Show History in her pedigree. Mara is A/B for AlphaS1-Casein. Mara freshened with triplets in 2022 and was a good mama once her dam let her take care of the kids. Pushy grandmas run in this maternal line. Mara's grandma had an epic melt down when Mara was born. Mara's FF udder was just great, unfortunately with our move we did not get very good pictures. Sorry about that. Can't wait to see how Mara does at our next Linear Appraisal. Thinking she will do as well or better than her 1/2 sister, Laia, did in 2021. We did not get Mara on the stand in 2022. We just had too much going on with the move & then immediate renovations on the new farm. Padme, Mara's 2022 doe, nursed for 9+ months before she weaned her. We are certain she will be able to go 305 days on test. Her dam and both her grandmothers are strong milkers.

Mara freshened with Quad Boys in 2023. The quads were incredibly aggressive nursing. In hindsight we should have pulled the boys and bottle fed them. Her udder was not like it was the year prior. Not sure what is going on. Might have been the quad boys or could just be genetics. The quads drained all of Mara's energy, she was very thin at LA's. LA Appraiser noticed her condition. Mara was not marked for any udder defects. Hoping in 2024 we will see improvement.

Tini is nice and quiet. Like her half-sister Moon you really don’t notice her in the herd. She has two copies of the A Variant for AlphaS1-Casein. Tini’s dam is Laia, one of our highest rated does. Her sire is Tonic, who is producing some seriously nice does. Tini’s FF Udder is absolutley beautiful! Getting super excited to take her to LA's this year. Pictures are of her unclipped 10 day fresh udder. We will take clipped & staged photos once her boy is weaned and she is on the milkstand.

Tini had a single in 2023 and her udder did get a bit lopsided. You can see her affected udder in the pictures. This is also why she does not have any pictures taken later as it was just not worth doing. Hope to get some 2024 pictures from her new owners. She did do alright at LA's but her udder did not present as well as it could have. Tini scores are within the new average for FF, so not overly concered. She will mature in to a very nice doe.

EllaBella, Mr Brown and Ella's 2022 kids, Panda & Pedro, have gone to live across the street with our neighbors in Mossyrock WA. They will make quite a happy little starter herd. Ella & Mr Brown are 1st cousins & Mr Brown has been our most dependable babysitter. He is also kid safe.

EllaBella is black & white w/abundant roaning and Blue Eyes. She has excellent milking lines with 4 Superior Genetics & 3 Champions in her pedigree. Our EllaBella improved her score this year at Linear Appraisals. We could't be happier for her. She had a clip, not quite a show quality one since she decide to lay down on the milkstand in protest. None the less it was enough for the appraiser to get a good look at her. She was quite shaggy for the 2019 appraisal. For the first time, EllaBella ranks in our Top 3 Milk Producers! We changed to a milking machine this year so aparently she has been holding back quite a bit. According to her previous owner, Ella's Dam, Olympia was great the milkstand. Mockingbird went to her new home in Blaine, WA in February 2022. Mockingbird was our Alpha Doe, and the best mama around. Mockingbird is a Brown Light Belly with minimal white & has beautiful Blue Eyes. She has cream moonspots on her belly. We thought they were just part of her tan belly till we clipped her. We have retained her daughters Katniss & Magpie. Katniss scored a FS86 (+VV+) @ 02-10, at her first appraisal.

Mockingbird was shown as youngster & senior yearling. She has 2 Champions in her pedigree & her Dam & Grand-dam were shown. We took her to 2021 Linear Appraisals as a seven year old. The timing was not great for her, but she was still able to be evaluated. We were very surprised at her score. She did super well considering she was almost dry when evaluated. Through no fault of her own she was never developed as a milker. Her udder gets better every year, she just does not stay in milk for long. Her daughter Katniss has no problem in that area. Appraiser had her at 22" in Height, but when we measured her at home with our official ADGA Nigerian stick she was 21".

Katniss went to her new home in Estacada, Oregon in February 2022. She is awesome, we just had to start cutting our girls back. She is nice and quiet just like her dam, Mockingbird. She is dark brown with minimal white. Katniss was a first time Mom in 2020 and had 4 healthy kids. She even delivered them without assistance and 2 were breech! Her kids were actually a bit on the chubby side by weaning time. We might need to bottle raise her kids in the future, since she seems to be producing too much milk. She tested A/B for AlphaS1-Casein. Katniss scored a very respectable FS86 (+VV+) @ 02-10 in 2021. We were very pleased with her score. Will be breeding her based on her Linear Traits for 2022. It will be interesting to see what the results are.

Leela was sold a pet only as she had serious complications in her first pregnancy. Our vet advised against breeding her in the future as she will likely have the same complications again. We will only breed young does as yearlings & to bucks that have smaller kids going forward. This was very unfortunate, as she was looking to be one of our top milkers, capable of earning a Milk Star. She has even better confirmation than her half sister Laia who just scored a FS87 (+VVV) at 2021 Linear's. She was such a nice goat that we will likely bred her Dam & Sire again for another doe. Leela is a Chamoisee Roan with White & Blue Eyes. She has very beautiful coloring that is deepening to a Mahogany and was likely homozygous for blue eyes.
